Brian Hawkes Ashcroft, age 64, passed away on April 20, 2026 at his home in St George, Utah. He was born on November 15, 1961 in Logan, Utah to Alys Ann Reeder and David Ashcroft. Brian was married to the love of his life April Ashcroft.

Brian loved growing up in Hyde Park and was so proud of his Heritage. Surrounded by lots of family & friends, his childhood was a dream. He moved to St George in '84 where he was able to raise his 3 daughters. He worked at Moore Business Forms for 19 years where he made many lifelong friends.

Brian switched career paths and dedicated the next 15 years to Law Enforcement. There he did work that reflected who he was at his core. He had a gift for helping others, especially helping those facing difficult times. He always did so without judgement, offering kindness, and understanding.

He enjoyed taking his family and friends camping, shooting, and catching snakes - yes even rattlesnakes. He always made his famous dutch oven potatoes that were always cooked to perfection.

Grandpa loved when grandkids would come over and he could show off his "neat things" to them. He loved going for rides with one of his many friends, to see the Lucerne or just talk. He always made friends with everyone he met because of his cute charming personality and off the wall comments.

Brian Ashcroft was a calm, quiet, compassionate person with a huge heart. He never raised his voice, and avoided contention. He is an example of kindness, forgiveness, unconditional love, and most of all bravery.

Brian is survived by his wife April Ashcroft. 3 beautiful daughters: Tiauna Call (Cory), Danielle Busby (Jordan), and Crystal Schmutz. His 8 precious grandkids: Shaylee Ford, Warren Brakebill, Brayden Sappington, Branson Schmutz, Kayla Sappington, Maycie Schmutz, Jerik Schmutz, and Grayson Busby. Plus 3 great grandkids. His mother AlysAnn Ashcroft, and 3 siblings Bruce Ashcroft (Debbie), Bert Ashcroft (Carolyn), and Julie Amussen (Mark).

He is preceded in death by his father David Ashcroft.
