Starts at 1:00 pm (Mountain time)
Carma Kay (Olsen) Larson passed away on May 17, 2026, in Washington, Utah at 84 years of age. Carma was selfless, kind, and a meaningful example of Christlike love.
She was born in Chinook, Montana to Daris Reese Olsen and Mildred Louise Ames on August 19, 1941. She grew up in Murtaugh, Idaho where she met her eternal companion, David Wayne Larson. In August of 1963 they were married in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple.
Carma was a successful businesswoman with her own hair salon. She also worked and put her husband through school, even selling some of her famous homemade bread.
Along with husband and family, her life took her to many places, living in New Mexico for most of those years but also in Utah, Indiana, and Maryland. She was an avid reader and when time permitted would often read several books every week. When she was younger, she took many trips to Europe and particularly loved Italy.
Carma served faithfully in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including ward and stake Relief Society president and ordinance worker in three temples. She raised six children and showed by love and example the way to happy productive lives. She was an amazing support to so many, including more than a few who came for extended stays in her home. She always made her house feel like home to all who entered. She was loyal, true, faithful, and a soft-spoken advocate for her family and others who needed a helping hand.
Her soft heart and beautiful spirit will be missed until we meet again.
She is survived by her husband, David Larson, their six children and their spouses: Alice (David) Skousen; Delos (Misty) Larson; Sara (CJ) Wolf; Ellen (Jared) Huddleston; James (Stephanie) Larson; and Emily (David) Foley; twenty-five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
(The family has requested a small, immediate family only, graveside service for Carma. They will also hold a “Celebration of Life” event for friends and extended family on Saturday, June 13 at 1:00 pm at 5568 N Canyon Rim Rd, Lehi, UT
