Carol Ann Hooker Bonnell, 84, of St. George, Utah passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026. She was born on June 5, 1941, in Santa Rita, New Mexico to Robert and Vertis Mae Hooker. In her youth, her mother taught her to sew, a skill she used throughout her life. Carol loved to dance and became a majorette as well as voted prom queen. Carol was studying to become a nurse when she married David Bonnell on October 7, 1960. She shared a loving marriage with her husband until his passing. They have six children - Randy, Paula, Davina, Rachael, Samara, and Jalene, as well as 28 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her older sister Elaine, her husband David, and her grandson, Trey. Carol loved to cheer on her Arizona Diamondbacks, read, watch movies (especially about espionage) and to study the scriptures. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Carol served faithfully in many callings throughout her life. No formal services will be held. She will be laid to rest with her beloved David.
