Caroline Everett Nielsen, 53, of St. George, Utah, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2026. Born on March 16, 1973, in St. George to Robert Snow Everett and Janet Young Everett. Caroline’s life was a testament of love, faith, and joy.

Raised among her many siblings in Washington Fields, Caroline was inspired by cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. She graduated from Pine View High School and went on to earn an Associate Degree from Dixie College. Caroline touched countless lives with her compassion and sincerity.

On October 8, 2022, Caroline married the love of her life, Howard “Howie” Enoch Nielsen, in the Cedar City Temple. Their love, devotion, and shared laughter was a cornerstone of her most recent years. She was a nurturing bonus mom, grandma and “Carolion” delighting in milestones and joys of her inherited children and five grandchildren.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Caroline served in many callings. She was a missionary in the Australia Sydney North Mission, Relief Society President, Teacher, Service Coordinator, Young Women Leader and Primary Teacher. Her faith was a guiding light and her service reflected her unwavering commitment to others.

Caroline taught Montessori preschool and later cared for infants and toddlers at the St. George Regional Child Development Center. Her favorite hobbies included playing with and supporting her grandkids, nieces and nephews, reading, playing games (Five Crowns was her favorite even though she lost to Howie most of the time), learning local and family history, listening to and singing along with Neil Diamond (obviously “Sweet Caroline” was her favorite), enjoying chick-flicks, going on girls’ trips, hiking and telling stories that brought smiles, connections and joy to those around her.

Caroline had a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, loved and valued. Whether visiting her grandparents, spending time with family, or reading and telling stories with others, she radiated contentment and genuine care. Her joy was contagious and her hugs comforting. She surely knew how to make her family and those around her feel loved.

Caroline is survived by her beloved husband, Howie; her parents, Robert and Janet Everett; her children: Ryan (Courtney) Nielsen, Brooke (Aaron) Staheli, Andrew (Julie) Nielsen, Jarron Nielsen, and Brenna (Seth) Kowallis; her siblings: Robbie (Kathy) Everett, Teresa (Sione) Tolutau, Shauna (Mike) Reid, Ephraim (Brenda) Everett, Clu (Megan) Snow, Selma (Scott) Bushar, Martha (Adam) Baker, Rachel (Kody) Mitchell, Misha (Joe) Schmutz, and Ida (John) Bennion; her grandchildren: Lily, Adelynn, Bowen, Evelyn and John; and numerous cherished nieces, nephews and other family. She was welcomed into heaven by her loving grandparents, Schuyler and Afton Everett and Silas and Ida Young.

A Viewing will be held on June 14 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at McArthur Funeral Home (160 W 700 S, St. George) and again on June 15 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Hidden Valley Stake Center (130 E Hidden Valley Dr, St. George, Utah). Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Washington City Cemetery.

Caroline filled her life and those close to her with love, laughter and joy. Her legacy of warmth and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
