Charlotte Ann Burr Artrup, age 54, a much-loved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away from a lifelong illness on April 11, 2026, in St George UT, surrounded by the love of her family.
Charlotte was born in Logan UT on December 12, 1971, to Ronald Burr and Patricia Nelson Burr. She was the 3rd child of 6. On Easter weekend April 1972, Charlotte came down with an illness, and her parents were told to prepare for her passing. She defied all medical odds and lived 54 years.
Charlotte was raised in Beaver UT, where she graduated from Beaver High School before moving to St George where she attended school. It was while she was going to college that she decided she wanted to serve an LDS mission and was later called to serve in the Tulsa, Oklahoma mission. In January 1999, her best friend Sandi, set her up on a blind date where she met J Anthony Artrup. J and Charlotte were married for time and all eternity on May 28, 1999, in the St George Utah Temple.
Their life together took them to Nebraska, where J was in the Air Force. They started this adventure with their oldest daughter Michelle, and added 2 more children, RJ, and Staci. After leaving the Air Force, they moved back to St George and added their last child Jess, who completed their family.
Growing up, Charlotte's biggest desire was to be a wife and a mother. She accomplished this achievement with unconditional love. Her family was the biggest joy of her life. They were always her first concern, and in her last days, they were her constant concern. She wanted them to know that she loved them and always wanted to make sure they were happy and healthy.
Charlotte was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This faith is what helped her through the hardships of her illness. She never waivered on that faith. She never complained or asked, “why me”. Her worry was always more about others than it was about herself. This showed how pure her spirit was. She touched many souls and made a significant impact on them.
Throughout her life, she had a way of making friends, with many of them being older than her. This special gift helped her fit in when she moved into Seasons Healthcare & Rehab last year. Being much younger than most of the residents, she brought a light and joy with her where she made many, many, friends at Seasons. These friendships brought a spark and life to not only her, but to those around her. For this, our family will be forever grateful.
Charlotte is survived by her husband J of 27 years, her children Michelle, RJ, Staci (Evan Garff), Jess (Kalob Harris), her parents Ron and Patricia Burr, her siblings Glen, Kathy (David Welch), Sheralyn (Chris Ray), Stephanie (Dan Clarkson), Julene (Daniel Jeffries) her Father-in-law Larry Artrup, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Mother-in-law Sherri Lynn Artrup, Sister-in-law Diane Burr, and Grandparents on both sides.
All services will be held at McArthur Funeral Home 160 West 700 South, St George, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday, April 19, from 4:30-6:30pm and again on Monday, April 20, from 11:00-11:45am. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon. A zoom link for the funeral will be available on McArthur’s website https://www.mcarthurfuneralservices.com 30 minutes prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at the Tonaquint Cemetery, St George, Utah.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Seasons Healthcare and Rehab, along with Intermountain Hospice. With the love and care of these wonderful people, we knew that she was being loved and cared for during the last year and days of her life. We will never be able to express what comfort this gave us.
