Colleen Iva Makin, passed away peacefully on May 27th, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Colleen was born on September 24th, 1962, in Salt Lake City, UT to Delores Ralston and Kay E. Jensen.

Colleen is survived by her mother, Delores; her siblings, Ed (Cindy), Cheryl, and Art; and her beloved children, Robert and Dakota. She was proceeded in death by her father, Kay; brother, Robert and her beautiful daughter, Jennifer.

To everyone who knew her, Colleen was simply the “Kid Grandma.” She could always be found on the sidelines of the BMX track, cheering on her grandchildren and every other child with equal Excitement. She had a rare and wonderful gift for making people feel truly loved and welcomed, the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back, love with her whole heart, and lend a helping hand without hesitation.

Colleen was a hard worker who cherished traveling with her friends and, above all, spending time with her family. Her warmth, generosity, and spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be missed deeply and remembered always.
