Fern Pauline Tennison Eades peacefully passed away May 29 at 107 years of age.

She was born in Chandler, Oklahoma July 25, 1918. Her parents were Frank and Opal Tennison. She was the oldest of four sisters, Stella Fay, Ruby Mae, Erma Lee and Betty. Her family moved to Delta, Colorado in 1938, where her father had a ranch. She loved helping on the ranch and doing the hard work. Her mother passed away when Fern was 15 years old and she became the loving caretaker of her young sisters.

In 1938 Fern married Stacy J. Eades. They had three sons; Jimmie D., Phillip L., and Ronald S. Eades. Fern and Stacy were married 62 1/2 years until Stacy passed away on 7/9/2000. Throughout their marriage, Fern and Stacy worked side by side in all of their businesses adventures in Utah, Colorado, California, Idaho and Wyoming.

Fern was a lovely, smart, kind and caring woman who took pride in always looking her best and loved to brag about her sons and grandchildren. She was a talented quilter and made many beautiful hand work items and enjoyed sewing most of her clothing. She was always busy until her age, at 100yrs, slowed her down a bit. She began doing word search books to keep her mind busy and completed many books. Her youngest son, Ron was her primary care provider for her last 14 years. She was a wonderful person and loved visiting with friends and family. She will be greatly missed.

Fern is survived by her son Ronald, grandchildren Susan Eades, Chad Eades and Annette Eades, her great grandchildren and her daughter in-law, Judy Bills. She was proceeded in death by her husband Stacy, parents, her sisters, sons Phillip and Jimmie.

Graveside services will be held at Mesa View Cemetery in Delta, Colorado.
