Flora D Hansen

Flora D Hansen passed away in her home on September 20th, 2024 at the age of 94. She was born May 3rd, 1930 in Maracaibo, Venezuela to Clyde Spear and Petra Morles. She was the second oldest of five children Rafael, Enrique, Diana, and Mary.

When She was 10 years old her father wanted her to learn English so she traveled to the United States to live with her Aunt and Uncle in Bellflower California. Due to the ongoing events of World War 2 in the early 1940s, she could not return to her family in Venezuela. She met a young boy, Jay Warren Hansen, at the Bellflower Presbyterian Church. After the war in 1945, she returned to Venezuela where Jay followed her. They returned to the US and were soon married a few years later on March 31st, 1949. And in 1952 they Joined the LDS Church. They Retired to St. George, Utah in the early 1990s and resided there ever since.

She had 2 children, J. Steven and Susan Marie. Three grandchildren, Michael J Hansen, Dillon CG McKinney, and Jayanna Hansen. And two great-grandchildren, Alexander Hansen and Rocky Hansen. 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Pine View Stake Center at 2583 E 350 N., St, George, Utah 84790.
