George William Sewell was born on January 15, 1947, to Clyde Raymond Sewell and Hazel Hall Sewell. He graduated in 1965 from Olympus High School. George worked in wholesale seafood for 25 years and as a pipe fitter for 19 years. He was previously married to Sherry Harwood and Tudy Hess (deceased). He met Charlene Stafford, his life long best friend in 1993 in Salt Lake, and they married in 1997.
George was a hard worker and loved the outdoors. Their beautiful home on Idaho Blvd in Emmett, Idaho, where he and Charlene lived for 22 years, was his heaven, as well as their cherished and serene camping spot at Tripod Meadows near Smith's Ferry, Idaho. Unfortunately his health made the decision for him to move to St. George, Utah, where he would enjoy his cocktails on the party patio that he created.
George is survived by his wife Charlene, sister Kathy Sewell Wallberg, brother Ben Sewell and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his stepsons, Travis Stafford (Jen), of St. George and Eric Stafford (Jenny) of West Valley, and grandchildren Dylan Stafford, Henry Stafford, Natalie Kate Hinton (Drake), Claire Nisson (David), George Stafford and one-year old Derek Hinton, his red-headed great-grandson who he adored.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Wally and Glenn, and his daughter Jenifer Hess-Sewell.
Thank you to family and friends for all the support.
