Navy August 25,1967 to July 01,1971 as an Avionics Radio Mechanic.

Was Married Margaret L, Thomas (Maggie) on October 20, 1986. until passed away January 24, 2022.

Received an associates degree in Applied Science Electronic Technology from Utah Technical College.

Loved going camping and traveling with his wife

Had a heart warming though crass Chicago style of humor.

John “Juan” Robert Flynn, 76, of Ivins Utah passed away Friday, February 13th, 2026 at Southgate Senior Living facility.

Born April 29th, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, John was the son of the late William and Katherine Flynn. He joined the United States Navy in 1967 and was discharged in 1971. He worked various jobs in the construction trades, for the Utah Department of Corrections, and retired from the Home Depot where he received several awards for his outstanding performance.

He enjoyed camping across the United States, but especially in the mountains with his wife, Maggie. He watched sports of any kind, was an avid fan of the Chicago Bulls, and especially enjoyed watching football, naturally a fan of the Chicago Bears. He was an avid reader of spy and assassin novels.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Flynn.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Terry Frymire; and sisters Kathy Zdeb (Jim), Jean Ksiazek (Tom); nephews, Kevin Ksiazek and Joseph Flynn; nieces Kelly Mikenas and Kathleen Michalski; grandchildren, Allen and Aaron Frymire; and his many close friends from the local community.

A burial service will be held on Thursday February 19th, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Ivins Cemetery 200 W 400 N Ivins, Utah 84738. McArthur Funeral Home is assisting the family.
