Judy Helene Jaeger October 3, 1947 – June 10, 2025

Judy Helene Jaeger, 77, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, surrounded by family, in St. George, Utah. She was born on October 3, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to Wanda Nutt and Donald Cavanaugh.

Judy lived a remarkable life marked by resilience and unwavering love for her family. She was most proud of her daughter, her four grandchildren, and her six great-grandchildren. A devoted and involved grandmother, she made it a point to tell her loved ones how much they meant to her—every chance she got. Her legacy of love and connection lives on in each of them.

Professionally, Judy was a trailblazer, working as an over-the-road truck driver for over 20 years. At the age of 55, she boldly returned to school and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in History, showing that it’s never too late to chase your dreams.

A breast cancer survivor, Judy turned her trials into purpose, dedicating much of her time to supporting others in their battles against cancer. Judy also served a service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She led a life focused on faith, hope, and charity; and had a deep love for her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Judy is survived by her beloved daughter, Michelle Jaeger Cowles; her grandchildren Melissa Cowles Zitting Wyson, Arthur Cowles IV, Robert Cowles, and Mikaela Cowles; and her cherished great-grandchildren Lyla, Landon, Logan, Rohan, Roy, and one more precious great-grandbaby due in December 2025.

She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

A memorial service will be held on July 5th, 2025, at McArthur Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to visit from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., with a memorial service following from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy’s memory to the American Cancer Society—a cause close to her heart.

Judy's strength, and unshakable love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
