In Loving Memory of Lorelei Aliese Schwartz

October 16, 2012~ May 15, 2025

With broken hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Lorelei Aliese Schwartz, a vibrant, sensitive, and deeply loved soul who brought light and joy to all who knew her.

Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, Lorelei was the youngest of four children and the heart of our family. Her name was inspired by the Loreley rock on the Rhine River, and her middle name, Aliese, combined the names of beloved family members. From the very beginning, Lorelei lived a life full of compassion, curiosity, and connection.

Raised in a home filled with love, Lorelei grew up steeped in two cultures, American and German, attending local schools and becoming part of both communities. She spent her early years walking to school with her father, learning about the world firsthand through travel, and embracing life’s small joys…bakery treats, bike rides, makeup shopping, and quiet moments with those she loved. These daily rhythms became the threads that wove the close bonds she shared with her family.

Lorelei was a gifted artist, a passionate reader, and a budding athlete who had recently found joy and confidence in volleyball. She also loved music and often filled our home and car rides with her favorite tunes. Her love of music also instilled an interest in playing the flute in the school band. A sensitive and empathetic soul, Lorelei had a rare ability to sense the feelings of others. Her German teachers called her “Angel,” and it was fitting. She offered comfort freely, hugs when they were most needed, and laughter that lifted those around her.

She traveled to at least 20 countries, collected hand fans from each place, and picked out gifts to bring joy to her friends and family. She made everyone she met feel important. Whether comforting a friend in need, bringing a classmate to her mom’s classroom for lunch, or simply sitting beside someone in silence, Lorelei gave herself completely.

To her parents, she was a daily joy, a treasured companion, and the heartbeat of the home. To her siblings—Tatiana, Jaedon, and Emeric—she was a reflection of their best qualities and a source of endless affection and fun. She and Emeric shared the unique bond of growing up together. Their connection was strong and sweet, and her absence is deeply felt.

We ask that Lorelei be remembered not with sorrow, but with joy. Think of her smile, her art, her hugs, her kindness, her fierce love for her family and friends. Let her be an example of how to live with empathy and light.

We will always be a family of six. We believe we will be whole again someday. For now, we hold Lorelei in our hearts and promise to carry her light forward.

Thank you for loving our daughter. Thank you for helping us carry her memory forward.

A Memorial Graveside will be held at Tonaquint Cemetery at 1777 S. Dixie Dr. in St. George on June 5th, 2025 at 9 AM.

Lorelei has requested that if you are going to attend she would prefer no neckties, too formal for her.
