Marcos Ramos Flores
January 19, 1965 - April 4, 2026
------
Marcos Ramos Flores, 61, originally from Ameca, Jalisco, son of Sara Flores Uribe and Jose Guadalupe Ramos Virgen (+), passed away peacefully at his home in the early hours of April 4, 2026, while his wife, Elbia, and son, Marcos Jr., prayed the rosary at his side.
In the weeks leading up to his passing, Marcos was surrounded by his wife, children, in-laws, granddaughters, and loved ones, filling his days with love, comfort, and companionship.
Marcos built a life rooted in love, hard work, and devotion to his family. After marrying his wife in 1994, they emigrated to the United States. Always attentive and caring toward his wife, he was a tireless worker who consistently strived to provide for his family, remaining committed to his responsibilities even during his illness. He did not want to miss a single day of work, and continued until the day he could no longer walk.
He grew up with his family, following the example of his father, always loving horses and the ranching life. When he arrived in the United States, his love for the western lifestyle never faded. He carried it with him in the way he dressed and in the details of his home, always filled with reminders of what he cherished most. Marcos found joy in the outdoors—going camping, gardening, and spending time with his family. His ideal Saturday was spent waking up early for yard sales and thrift stores, followed by going out to eat with his family.
A man of few words, Marcos showed his love through his actions. He loved deeply, with all his heart, leaving friendships wherever he went.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elbia Ramos Gutiérrez, with whom he shared nearly 32 years of marriage, just shy of their anniversary on April 16; his four children, Mónica (Carlos), Alejandra (Chase), Marcos Jr., and Jennifer (Juan), who were his greatest pride and joy; and his cherished granddaughters, Ahlani and Ari, daughters of Mónica, and Capri, daughter of Alejandra, who brought endless light and happiness to his life.
A viewing will take place on April 17 from 5:00–8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. George Catholic Church on April 18 at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Tonaquint Cemetery. Guests are welcome to wear western attire to honor Marcos during the service. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
Many have asked if there is a way to make donations to help with funeral and related expenses. Contributions may be made via Venmo [MarcosRG]. Many thanks to everyone who has already contributed. Your support during this difficult time is deeply appreciated.
Marcos will never leave our lives; he will live forever in our hearts and in the memories we shared together.
