Michael McCartney, born February 28, 1952, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2024, at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mima and Jack Hill. Michael was the founder of Aquatech, a successful business based in Montana, where he lived a life filled with hard work, passion, and care for those around him.
Michael is survived by his son, Jake McCartney, and his wife Karen; his daughter, Mechelle Beratto, and her husband Darren; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was a loving father and grandfather who always made time for his family.
Known throughout his community as "Uncle Mike," he had a special bond with the neighborhood children. He was always there to help fix their bikes, build pinewood derby cars, or offer a helping hand, becoming a beloved figure to many. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing and hunting, and his heart was always open to helping others in any way he could.
Michael's affection for animals, especially his dogs, was a central part of his life, and he found great joy in their companionship.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, service, and family will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
