Patricia Anne Picot Nov 18, 1941 – Sept 23, 2025
A force of nature and loving heart, Anne Picot, age 83, of St George, Utah, was born in Loughborough, England on November 18, 1941, and passed away peacefully at home after a long hospice journey on September 23, 2025. A survivor of wartime polio, Anne defied every prognosis to live a life overflowing with courage, compassion, and tenacity—conquering breast cancer and countless other challenges with unwavering resolve.
Anne was the beating heart of her family—a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother—whose love and indomitable spirit inspired all who met her. Wherever life took her, across two continents and more than 20 homes, Anne saw each new place as an opportunity to enrich others’ lives. In every city and town she called home, she quickly became a cornerstone of her community—seeking out new organizations, founding support groups, and volunteering at every level, from local food banks to VA centers and hospices. Her generosity and leadership touched generations.
She was also a world-class athlete, winning multiple World Championship medals in rifle shooting and a silver medal at the 1984 Paralympic Games in Long Island, New York. Anne channeled that same determination into her lifelong advocacy for the rights and dignity of people with disabilities. She was a mentor, volunteer, and speaker who championed independence and hope, tirelessly supporting help centers and advocacy groups wherever she went.
Her legacy is carried on by her beloved husband of 55 years, Blue, her devoted son Justin (with wife Jennifer), and her cherished grandchildren Conor, Isabella, and Natalee, as well as her Sister Yvonne and Brother Michael, of Loughborough England. The family are eternally grateful for the support of so many friends and neighbors, and especially the care team of both hospice Nurses and friends volunteering for her in her hours of need over many months.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Red Rock Center for Independence (RRCI), St George, Utah. Anne’s light shines on through every life she touched as a mother, wife, volunteer, and true warrior for all.
