Preston Jay Jenkins, 41, was born on November 5, 1984, in Stratford, New Jersey, to Jolie Laureano and PJ Jenkins. He passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, in Hurricane, Utah.

Preston grew up in Hammonton, New Jersey, surrounded by a large and loving family. He attended Oakcrest High School and later earned a degree in Graphic Design from Lincoln Technical Institute. In 2012, he moved to Del Mar, California, where he began a new career in sales. In 2016, his life changed forever when he met his future wife, Rebecca, in San Marcos, California. Together, they moved to St. George, Utah, in 2020 to explore a new state and build a life they loved. They were married in 2021.

Preston built a distinguished career as the Director of Sales at Mars Energy, a role he was immensely proud of. He often credited his father for the guidance that helped him reach that milestone. Beyond his professional success, Preston gave generously of his time, volunteering as a football and wrestling coach at Hurricane High School for two years. He became a mentor to many students, always cheering them on with genuine pride and enthusiasm.

A man of many passions, Preston loved football—especially the Philadelphia Eagles—as well as wrestling, UFC, shooting sports, hiking, collecting knives and fidget spinners, coaching, and riding his Onewheel. He captured countless memories with his Insta360 camera, sharing moments of joy, adventure, and everyday life with family and friends. Those memories are now treasured more than ever.

Preston loved deeply and widely. His kindness, humor, and excitement for life made him unforgettable. To his wife, he was a soulmate, best friend, and the most supportive, loving partner. To his family and friends, he was a big-hearted teddy bear, a loyal friend, and the ultimate hype man. His impact on the lives around him will never fade.

Preston is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Jenkins; his parents, Jolie Laureano and PJ Jenkins; his grandparents, Sandra Jenkins, Rosa Martinez, and Juan Ramon Laureano; his brothers, Shane Jenkins, Brandon Jenkins, and Matthew Jenkins; his nephew, Preston Jenkins; his in‑laws, George and Rachel Ruiz; his sisters‑in‑law, Jessica Kraus, Angelina Ruiz, and Erica Ruiz; his brothers‑in‑law, Andrew Kraus and Charles Petersen; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

A celebration of Preston’s life will be held at McArthur Funeral Home and Cremation Center, followed by burial at the Hurricane Cemetery. Viewing: April 26, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM Service: April 27, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
