Ronald Lee Swenson, 86, passed away peacefully at home in Washington, Ut. On May 17, 2026.
Ron was born on April 6, 1940 in Lindon, Ut. to Orin Morris Swenson and Tressa Louise Barney.
He met the love of his life, Jill Valene Barney in 1967 and they were married that same year. Together they had 2 daughters, Jennifer Lea (Thayne) High and Kathleen Jonell (Cory) Fenton.

Ron loved to be outdoors. He was often in the mountains, hunting, and fishing. He loved Roy Rodger’s and would often break out into his rendition of “ Happy trails”. He was a man of few words with a huge heart. He always made sure his family was taken care of and that we knew he loved us by giving us something before leaving his home. His family was everything to him. He loved watching the great grandkids play and interacted with them as much as possible. He had a wonderful sense of humor that lasted up to the very end.

Ron is survived by his wife and daughters, sister, Joyce (Jolley), 9 grandchildren, 5 bonus grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Deborah (Jordal), Linda (Peterson), Sheila ( Chipman), and brothers, Leon and John.

A huge thank you to the nurses and aides at Southern Utah hospice for the loving care they provided.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
