Ross Denor Jenkins passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his wife, children, and grandchildren, on May 10, 2026, in St. George, UT, at the age of 57.

Born very prematurely on November 11, 1968, in Las Vegas, NV, to Roland and Konnie Jenkins, Ross came into the world defying the odds with the same fighting spirit that would carry him through his whole life.

He attended Chaparral High School, graduating with the class of 1987.

Ross developed a strong work ethic from a young age, working for his father’s plastering company alongside his brothers. He continued in the plastering industry for most of his life, owning Horizon Exteriors and Jenkins Stucco. He was respected by his employees for his integrity and fair treatment.

His heart was claimed when Ross met his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Kiera, at just 15 years old. They were married on April 23, 1988, in Las Vegas and sealed with their four beautiful children on December 11, 1999, in the St. George, UT temple.

Ross was passionate and creative. He wrote beautifully and was naturally artistic. His mother always described him as having the most tender heart, which showed in the way he selflessly served others and loved animals. He had a deeply personal testimony of Jesus Christ. He dearly loved his family and was loved in return. He frequently said his family was his greatest achievement. Fun, silliness, and adventure were always important ingredients in their home. One of his greatest gifts to his children was teaching them to be best friends.

Ross fought through 7½ years of dialysis, surpassing the odds once more. He bested death many times in his life, especially in his final years, and joked that his headstone should read, “Harder to Kill Than Most.” He put up a long, courageous fight and was ready to return to his heavenly home when his time finally came. His family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses who cared so attentively for him these past years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roland Jenkins. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kiera; his children, Broc Jenkins (Ashley), Brittany Hesch (James), Joclynn VanGilder (Camden), and Skye Jenkins; and his 13 beloved grandchildren; his mother, Konnie Jenkins; his siblings, Brenda Cooper (Wes), Trent Jenkins (Cheri), Ryan Jenkins (Melissa), Amber Rigby (Lance), and Jill Pierson (Brad).

Services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 166 S Main Street in St. George, UT. There will be visitation time beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. He will be lovingly laid to rest in the Tonaquint Cemetery.

A heartfelt thank you to those who have reached out, brought meals, and contributed to the services.

We’re happy for him, just like he wanted us to be. We find comfort in knowing we’ll be with him again.
