Scott Darren Hilton

In Memory of Scott Darren Hilton (December 17, 1964 - February 8, 2024)

Scott Darren Hilton, born on December 17, 1964 and adopted by loving parents, Darlene (Lowe) Hilton and Ronald Lee Hilton. Scott was the eldest of seven siblings David Hilton, Steven Hilton (deceased), Lauren Hilton, Becky Wilkinson (Brian), Shana Boyle (Zane), Kristin Timms. He was an uncle to seven nieces and six nephews.

Scott’s love of music began with the first stereo where he spent a penny and ordered 13 of his favorite 8 track tapes from Columbia Records. At the age of 12 he was given his first guitar, an electric GIBSON SG classic black/red. Thus began the journey into Rock n’ Roll, growing out his hair and later starring as Santa Claus in a music video. His passion for rock n’ roll music led him to begin a collection of guitars, speakers, and amps.

Scott attended Cleveland High School where he was on the JV football team winning as the city champs. He earned his Eagle Scout with the help of his mentor and lifelong friend, Ralph Thatcher. Earning those 21 merit badges created his love for camping and the great outdoors. Scott had a joy for traveling, going on Harley rides, shooting guns, and four-wheeling, being a member of a jeep club and a part of a motorcycle club.

Scott made the move from L.A. to Bakersfield, California and continued working for Terry Lumber, totaling 16 years. In Bakersfield he welcomed daughters, Randi Jean (Hilton) Major and Paige Bari Hilton. Scott later moved to Utah where he spent the remainder of his years. He was a great friend to so many and cherished the bonds he formed with others. He was always there to offer a helping hand for anyone that needed it.

In the face of health challenges, including diabetes and a long battle with cancer, he faced each day with resilience and determination. It brings solace knowing he is no longer in pain and is preceded in the heavens above by his brother, Steven, father, Ron, and grandmother, Jean Hilton.

The Hilton Family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Patrick Patterson and his wife Dana for their selflessness and all they offered to Scott including being by his side up until the day he passed.
